Far beyond the sun (my attempt)

just started learning the song a few days ago, and i have a rough knowledge of the song up untill about 2 minutes in. well anyway i recorded using my Fender strat into My Avt150. i just want critisism, advice, comments on playing and the tone. the playing isnt too great but i plan to repost the song in full in about a month or 2 when ive had time to practice it a little.

Good stuff!

First of all, i must say i loved the tone! And you captured the "vibe" of the song pretty well, too ;).

But, in some parts it seems like you play notes just to make it "fast". You really need to work on the fast runs, and also the timing.

You wanted critism, here ya got it ;).

thanks, i know the particular runs, like i said, il re record it again, there are some runs where i attempted to reach the speed but the notes kinda blurred together, thats just gonna take some practice to get it a little clearer, thanks for the "critisism" :)

u want criticism?? i was obsessed into the neo and yngwie style, so i know what ur getting into?
Nice tone, but it sounds more like a paul gilbert tone, too fuzzy for malmsteen, u got the energy and the vibe, u gotta praactice timing, picking runs, the intro runs sound very weak and muddy, on ur long runs u dont pick all notes as malmsteen would in far beyond the sun. Practice ur vibrato, on some it doesn´t sound in tune.

i did pick all the notes for the runs, whether or not they were all successful is is a definate no, but i find legato runs harder than picked runs, since i almost never use legato in my playing, ive always tried to pick every note, this is a hard song but i think i can get it nailed with time, thanks for your comments :)

The buzz is because, badly shielded guitar, next to a computer monitor, and direct Input recording with no noise gate, if i had used a mic infront of the amp to record it the buzzing wouldent be there.
