Re: Fast track 1 and cruiser OR Cool Rails x 2?

I guess it depends on what you want out of it. I had a Fast Track I in the neck position of my Jackson paired with a JB in the bridge. I found it to be in the middle of the humbucker / single coil sound. It has some of the clarity of a single coil with a little of the humbucker fullness. All around a good p/u but wasn't what I was looking for. As a matter of fact I'm looking to sell it. let me know if you're interested....it's white.

Re: Fast track 1 and cruiser OR Cool Rails x 2?

I've got a cruiser in the middles and cool rail in the neck with a JB bridge on my night fly so I can comment on them-

The cool rail is actually pretty hot in the neck..same power as JB in bridge! It naturaly wants to overdrive, but I split, spin, and paralel to the point that I can tame it down or crank it up- Devinately more power than a traditional SC

The crusier is a closer to a direct sc replacement- Of course it is not in as strong string position as the cool rail , but even when I've switched them it's not as likely to crunch and cleanish all the way around- It's a perfect split with my JB in 2 position and 4 positon with the cool rail.

So here's the way I see it- If you want more classic strat include the crusier- If you want more powerful, go coolrails side-
cheers
