Fast Track 1 (N), Chopper (M), Pro Track (B) - good combo for a rock strat?

I've decided to add a couple more pickups to my single pickup strat.

Digging around in my drawer and I have a Dimarzio Pro Track that I can throw in the bridge. I can move my Chopper (which is currently in the bridge) to the middle position, and I have a Fast Track 1 on the way to me that I plan on throwing in the neck position.

Does this sound like a good, fairly versatile setup? I tend not to use too many different tones, but I think I can expand my horizons to at least a middle and neck position tone with a 3-way tele style switch :)

I detest the 2 & 4 position sounds on a strat, so no need to go for a 5-way switch. If I were to go for those sounds, I think having the Fast Track 1 in the middle would make more sense. But I'd rather have a cleaner neck tone and a middle position tone that's not too weak (for cleans or dirt), hence the Chopper in the middle and Fast Track 1 in the neck.

So what say ye, strat experts?

You should try put chopper in the neck. Powerful yet glassy tone. Should balance well with the protrack.
Personally I found the FT1 sounds a bit weak in the neck.

Hopefully I have enough leads on the Chopper to try that out. I know I can end up with a good neck position tone and a good bridge position tone no matter what I put in either position (I had a Pro Track in the neck position of a tele and it ripped). It's getting a useful middle position tone that might be a bit of a trick. Did you ever try the FT1 in the middle position?

Never tried a Pro Track before, what does it sound like? I have a Chopper T in a tele thay I'm not crazy about in the bridge position. If it were me, just for kicks, I'd try a Pro Track neck, Fast Track I in mid and Fast Track II in bridge.

I tried the Fast Track II in the bridge before and found it just kinda ehhhh.... too much output, not alot of personality. I like the Super Distortion S alot better. I also tried a Corgan bridge model and found it was just too middy. The Chopper in the bridge is great, but I just slapped the Pro Track in the bridge of my single pickup strat guard and I think I like it even better than the Chopper.

I'm slightly leaning towards a Pro Track (N), Fast Track 1 (M), Pro Track (B) combo, but not before I try the Fast Track 1 (N), Chopper (M), Pro Track (B) setup. I just feel like the Chopper has a better chance of sounding great in the middle for cleans or dirt than the Fast Track 1, especially since I'm only doing a 3-way switch with no notch settings.

If I'm wrong, I can always swap the FT1 and Chopper, and if that don't work, I can stick another Pro Track in the neck and pick whichever of the other two sounded best in the middle.

FT-1 too weak in the neck? hmm. I find it to be a very nice compromise between a single and a bucker, almost exactly in between. Chopper is hot and dark it might or might not sound ok in the middle depending on what you're after, but those should blend ok volume wise if you keep the chopper down a bit. You won't be getting much quack unless you put in a bridge/neck combo switch. I'd be more tempted to go PT bridge FT1 neck and something like a cruiser in the middle if you want to go all dual blade.

You should try put chopper in the neck.

That was the first thought I had. I really liked the Chopper in the neck. HAd Choppers neck + Middle, and an X2N bridge in a Kramer.

Pro Track bridge is a nice choice for the bridge.
