Favorite pedals for trippyness

Random thread but hey why not...

What are your favorite pedals for when you want to trip out and change things up from the usual?

Mine has to be my Whammy V in classic mode in octave up pitch bend and my Boss tera echo combined. I love pick scraping while holding down the Tera Echo for trippy soundscapes and then playing complex chords because it makes the Whammy glitch out in the most perfect way lol

How about you guys ?

here is a little instagram video I made using my fave pedals.

Re: Favorite pedals for trippyness

I've always liked auto-wah + delay to get kinda trippy. I don't have an auto-wah anymore, so right now I'd just use some dirt and delay, maybe a bit of trem. The Carbon Copy can get really trippy on it's own. I can get pretty trippy with just a clean tone, my Gretsch's neck pickup, the Bigsby, and a long delay time with lots of mod on the Carbon Copy.

Any good stereo chorus + stereo delay through two separated amps is pretty trippy...

But the EH Ravish has to be just the GROOVIEST, man! (Wish I could say this with a Mike Meyers suit and accent!)

Peace, baby!

The Ravish Sitar is a really cool pedal. My g/f really wants to get one for her fiddle. She played it and the POG2, and out of the two decided on the POG2, but has been talking about getting the Ravish as well.

Re: Favorite pedals for trippyness

When I want trippy I go for one of the following:

-Ring Modulator (Frequency Analyzer for whacky, Octavia for a little less crazy)
-Delay with effects in the loop (flanger, pitch shifter, phase shifter)
-Combo of SeekTrem & SeekWah with things like phaser or pitch shifter
-the ultimate, a Digitech Space Station (which basically combines pitch shifting, modulation, delay, volume swells and sample/hold).

However, the musicality of what comes out of the amp is up for debate. ;)

Re: Favorite pedals for trippyness

Wah, Tremolo, Flanger, Reverb, delay

My reverb pedal has "Reverse-Reverb"
and my delay has a "Reverse-delay"

When in doubt...turn everything on and play with the settings

Re: Favorite pedals for trippyness

Wah into Phaser into Delay...Move the wah at an interval of the speed of the LFO on the phaser and make sure thats intime with the delayand play arpeggioed stuff.

Re: Favorite pedals for trippyness

Eventide H9 is a trippy pedal. That being said almost anything Eventide makes will have some out there settings.

Re: Favorite pedals for trippyness

A looper that allows you to manipulate the loop. Also the 'particle verb' on Line6 PODs and M-series effects is really great.

Re: Favorite pedals for trippyness

I do not own this, but for me - this would be the ultimate:

^ This mofo.

Pitch shifting, wacky arpeggiation, delay, chorusing, heavy detuning, weird oscillating feedback type stuff . . . strangest noise box I've ever used.

Re: Favorite pedals for trippyness

earthquaker rainbow machine and bit commander... or the ehx ring thing, but for the most part every pedal on my board is for weird trippy ****. Heres a little rough song idea using most of these pedals

Ignore the ridiculous bass.

Re: Favorite pedals for trippyness

Univibe with a thick dark fuzz in front. Delay in effects loop. For added LSD like affect... Insert Tru-Tron 3X after the univibe and watch world implode.
