Feeler Gauge Question?

Hi folks,
Been a while since I posted, but after breaking my neck this past July ( my actual neck not the guitars lol ) I have not been able to play at all until very recently.

Anyhow,
I am headed to the hardware store this afternoon to pick up a few things and have been wanting to get a feeler gauge set to do some fine adjustments to my Strat. I was wondering what is the best set range to pick up ( mm/inch from & too what size(s) )for relief measurements, action, etc...?

You won't find feeler gauges at the hardware store. You have to get them at auto supply stores.

However they have them at the store I am going to, I called ahead and asked a couple days ago.

Just need to know what range I am looking for?

Get a thousands of an inch set.
A .0015 - .040 set would do.
