Feeler thread: Ibanez RG350DX w "Strat"-minded mods

I'm looking to get a feel for how much I could fetch on Ebay for an Ibanez RG350DX that I modded to accentuate tone features and options that I hope Fender Strat fans will appreciate:

1) replaced the stock neck and middle pups w Dimarzio Area 67's. To me, these pups sound like vintage Fender single-coils but with zero hum.

2) replaced the stock humbucker with a Stag Mag in a Triple Shot pickup ring.

3) Replaced the stock volume knob w a 500k push-pull knob wired to change to 250k when pulled up. This allows the 250k resistance to be in use when using the single coils or the Stag Mag in split coil mode, but having the 500k option when using the Stag Mag in humbucker mode.

4) replacement pickguard - stock was a straight-up silver color. New one will be either Red torquise (like on Deluxe Strats) or pearloid gray - haven't decided yet.

This Ibby 350DX is the version that has a black body and rosewood fretboard.

Also, looking for recmendations on how to word the listing ttitle to mention these Strat features while avoiding claims of keyword misappropriation.

Don't use the words Fender or Strat.

Don't even imagine that someone that likes Strats would want it. :D

It's an Ibanez with Dimarzio and Duncan pickups.

You'd get more money selling it with stock parts and selling the pickups separately.

^ Sad but true.

An RG350DX will generally fetch about $300 on a good day, regardless of the mods you've put in. I'm an Ibanez whore and I wouldn't go above that unless it was really special to play. The mods you've put in probably won't sway anybody very far, especially on fleabay.

I would not invest in a new pickguard if you're just going to sell it. You'll probably get more money for the guitar if it is "original."

Good luck with the sale...

you can always try selling it here or on other guitar forums as well, since there you might find a more specialized buyer who could appreciate the work you put into the guitar.
