Which would stay in tune better. Fender 2-point with Ferraglide saddles or Wilkinson VS-100N?

Re: Fender 2-point vs Wilkinson VS-100N

I have an American Deluxe Strat (stock everything) and a Carvin with a Wilkinson. I would say that they are tied in performance and tuning stability. The tuning stability in directly proportional to the quality of the work done on the nut. Both of these were done well.

I have never tried those saddles though.

tried both on my strat... to me the wilkinson provide a pretty good improvement in tuning stability when using the bar for deep dives but the tone altered in a way i did not like and i cuold not stand it so i went back to the original trem and tweak it a bit so it would stay in tune decently.... both are good but if your after the most stable of trems.... wilkinson has everything locked in place and well set up the thing is as stable as it gets without being a floyd.

a lot of purist knock the Fender American Standard trem but it is my favourite strat trem... I enjoy the modern feel and features it offers.

I perfer the Wilky. From my experience they hold stability better. To me the main problem with the Fender unit lies in the nut. Fender needs to use graphite. Just MHO.
