Fender American Original

I like the name more than the American Vintage line they replace; awkward eBaying or Googling "vintage" when it isn't.

Appears 7.5 inch radii are dead; I never minded them, but I don't think it's a terrible change. Wish they still offered both radii. Difficult to tell if there's anything else to know...

Re: Fender American Original

Let’s see what they mean with those neck shape names.

Can’t do 7.5.

Re: Fender American Original

I kinda miss "American Standard". American Professional sounds nice, but it kinda avoids the national pride of saying that what's the standard in America is better than the best of the import models.

But American Original does sound much better than American Vintage. They finally found out "vintage" is too much of a buzzword.

Re: Fender American Original

I like the recent AVRI specs and colors better. Of course I liked the now defunct Hot Rod AVRI the best.

Re: Fender American Original

I prefer the name American Standard. That implies it's the base mark for everything else..... then they can do specials or professionals or vintage whatever else they want.
