Fender Amp White Vintage knobs?

hey fellas......lookin for anybody that has taken off the knobs on an old blonde fender amp that has those vintage round white knobs with the thin black line indicator on them......these arent set screw knobs are they? if not, what is the fitting hole for the pot shaft on the back look like?.......

Sorry brother....I never worked on one,nor ever removed a knob off of one? :smack:

I think I Know where you can get replacement knobs though..

I think they use those knobs on the Vibrolux RI too if im not mistaken?

So, what are you trying to accomplish? I'm guessing they have set screws, but I've never looked at one.

well, some knobs i see say they have set screws, and others descriptions say they dont have set screws, and the description for those vintage white ones says nothing about set screws.......i want to change a ugly red-knob fender to those types of knobs

EDIT: i see somewhere that says they are set screw......damn, i guess theres nothing i can do?

There is no fitting hole, just screw the set screw until it makes good contact. Try em.

well, i had a notion that the screw actually went through a small hole in the shaft, in order to lock the knob on........all it does is make contact with it, and when its tightened, it stays on?......well, either way, im sure theres some way i could get em to stay on even without putting the screws in place

nevamind......i took a knob off my twin reverb and put it on the other one......works like a charm!.....SCORE......... no more freakin ugly red knobs!

It's either going to have a solid shaft(Like Teles)or the slotted shaft(Like a strat)....If you have a set screw knob and you're using a slotted shaft pot,just put a toothpick in the opening of the shaft and tighten the set screw onto the split shaft..

the shafts on this red knob fender amp are the "D" shaped ones....i tried one of my fender twins set screw knobs on it, and it worked great
