Fender body help.

I bought a Deluxe series Strat body off Ebay. The body is very nice but the only thing I am wondering about is that there is a tab screwed to the body in the control route and there was a wire soldered to it and cut off. I am wondering what it is for? I am assuming it has something to do with shielding because its a Honey blonde body but there is dark paint in the route and I think its shielding paint. Next question what do I wire the tab to ? Ground? Thanx for your help in advance. lexx9

yup, you had it, its for grounding. basically, once you have run ground wires linking all your pots together, run the ground to the tab.

your strat will be dead silent, i have mine wired this way

dont forget to run a ground wire to the bridge (i say this grinning sheepishly cause i have done this before)
