Fender coils in a box

I got a box of spare parts from my brother & there are 2 Fender style pups that he thought came off a MIM Strat. they have a bar magnet across the bottom, the pole pieces are straight (flat) across the top, the wires have plastic insulation, they ohm out at around 2.2k.....

so, that don't look like Fender to me. any thoughts

At 2.2k its not going to matter what brand they are, they will function equally well as paperweights.

theres been plenty of cheapy pups put in fenders over the years. the ceramic bar pushes a fair amount of output and if you dont use #42 wire 2.2k ohms might be fine the charlie christian pups are like 3.8k but use #38 wire i believe

Sounds like Asian Squier pickups to me. They have one magnet across the bottom.

The Mexican pickups have two thin bar magnets, one on each side.

yes... one big flat magnet across the bottom. I might get a pic, but gave them to a friend to play with. not that big a deal to me, just curious
