Fender custom shop alternative

I’m building a Tele and like a lot of the custom shop models available the pickups are showing as the following:

(Bridge position)
Fender Custom Shop 51’ Nocaster
DC Resistance: Bridge Pickup: 7.3K
Inductance: Bridge Pickup: 3.7 Henries.
Magnet Type: Alnico 3 Magnets

(Neck position)
Fender Twisted Tele
Output Rating (Bass/Middle/Treble):
Neck: 6/5/6
DC Resistance: Neck Pickup: 10.5k ohms
Inductance: Neck Pickup : 4.2 henries
Magnet Type: Alnico 5 Magnets

Does anyone know a suitable Seymour Duncan equivalent either as a set or as singles I could match together?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you're not dead set on a traditional looking tele, you have to try a Firebird mini at the neck. I have a SM-1b in the neck of my 50's style MIJ tele and it's one of the best neck sounds I've ever gotten.

Thank you!

Ideally I want a strat like tone in the neck and a standard tele bridge pickup that isn’t too microphonic and ice pick teeth chattering. I play blues rock so want something that cuts through whilst keeping some balls and snarl behind it.

ssl2 neck, jd bridge is a great combo. great strat tones from the neck and killer warmer vintage tele tones from the bridge. i use an antiquity II firebird pup in the neck of my tele and i love it.

This is the set I would have posted, too. But if you want the neck pickup to be scooped like that but still look like a Tele pickup, there is the Rhythm for Tele with Strat Tone.

Another vote for the mini-hum. I did the 920D Brent Mason install for a customer, and loved the mini-hum so much that I bought the pickguard, control plate, and SM-1n for my own Tele. Killer Tele neck pup. (With JD bridge.)

Re: Fender custom shop alternative

I currently have a Fralin Blues Special in the neck position of my Tele, with a Broadcaster in the bridge. The Fralin gives a Strattiness to the tone. However, I'm awaiting the arrival of a Psyclone vintage to drop in the neck! :smokin:
