Is it possible for normal (i.e. non-famous) musicians to order custom guitars from them?? And if so, how would one go about this, and how much would it cost (a ballpark figure). Thanks.

Anyone can order a Fender Custom Shop guitar. It has to be done thru an authorized Fender dealer to the best of my knowledge...GC is one place, but I'd search out a smaller mom and pop type establishment in my area for an order like that. Fender's website should give you a list of dealers in your area.
As for cost....just guessing that $2000-$2500 is going to be the bottom of the line custom shop order, and could go in excess of $10k if you wanted. If you are just looking for a masterbuilt Strat or Tele with a few custom appointments I'd bet $3000-$4000 would get you there.
There is a Custom Shop room over at the Fender Forum ( www.fenderforum.com )....you may be able to get more detailed info there. Good luck.

Wow. Thanks. I suppose I'll need to get a car and a JCM2000 TSL100 with 1960AV and 1960BV and a Les Paul classic before getting another strat afterall. Not cheap, but one day....

Hey man...your in Atlanta...me 2!!! Call Midtown Music, they are a CS dealer as well as a Master Built Dealer. Talk to David if he has time(he's a busy but a great guy, and knows his stuff), if he's bust talk to Paige...also very nice guy and had more time that David. There is a sheet you fill out...it's one page and they fax it to Fender CS, and in turn get a quote...a Strat will run you around $2000.00 at the very bottom and all the way up into the $???,???.?? if your crazy...anyway, they will do anything you want...if you have the money.
