Fender Deluxe S1 Wiring question.

Good Evening all.

I have a quick question that I've been struggling to find any info about,

I've got a HSS Strat Deluxe that came with SCN Single coils in the front and middle.
I find them a bit thin and weak to be honest so I got an SSL-1 for the neck position.

The problem I'm having is that the guitar has the S1 switch in the volume pot and I'm not sure how that will affect the wiring in of the new pick-up, I would love to know if there are there any considerations to with it, or do I just wire it in exactly as the old one was?
I've also read that for strat deluxe you have to switch where the white and black wire go compared to normal strats. Does anyionw know if this is the case?

Any advice would be super appreciated, thanks.

Yes, just follow the existing wires from the neck pup. But when putting the Duncan pup in, reverse the white and black wires. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me.

Thanks Doc, I'll go with that and worst case I can just reverse the wires back if it doesn't sound right.

Much appreciated.

Not sure if..........

But I have a murican deluxe HSS and that thing was a MAJOR rats nest. Swapped out the nest for an Emerson "blender" kit, and put a single coil (are they N3's???) and walla! Wow factor much exponential.
