fender hot rod deluxe

hello, i have a fender hot rod deluxe and i just changed the speaker to a eminence gasc64. and when i was playing with the amp i noticed heat around the on/off standby areas of the amp is this normal. i never noticed any heat before when i had the stock speaker in. any thought?

I've noticed heat there in mine...not sure what to say here about it not happening before the speaker change, will defer to other forum members.

The mains transformer is about six inches below that section of the control panel and the jewel pilot light radiates more heat than light.
