Fender Hot Rod III Deville: any speaker swap suggestion?

Hi, recently bought a Fender Hot Rod III Deville, which I love but, I feel that can be highly improved with some speaker swap.
Do you know any mass-production speakers that will enhance it?. Which are your experiences?.

Note: I mean mass-production because, I wouldn't like to buy again a Weber speaker or other boutique speaker that I cannot directly source in Europe. Shipping and Custom fees where about th 45% of the whole final price.
So, any Celestion, Eminence, Jensen, Fane or alike...

How do you want the sound improved? More bass? Different mids? Smoother/sharper highs? What kind of music are you playing? Blues, metal, ska, funk, jazz, rock?

Speakers can pretty drastically change the sound of an amp so you need to give an idea of the sound you're looking for before a good recommendation can be made.

is it a 2x12 deville or a 4x10?
what kind of tone color are you after?

Re: Fender Hot Rod III Deville: any speaker swap suggestion?

Oh, yes, forgot some details!!!.

It's a 2x12 combo. What I want is an awesome clean platform to build anything over with some pedals.
Basically, Blues, Rock, Hard Rock and, some fusion but, never going Metal, drop tunings or alike.
I would prefer silkier but pristine high end. Low end sounds ok to me, mids are a tad harsh and lack some body.

Well, maybe I should try a tube swap, before. Dunno.
Anyone experienced with this particular amp and, new production tubes, as well?.

To me the sound is overall very good but, I feel as if it was somewhat veiled with a light tisue (how hell difficult is to describe sound!).

a pair of texas heats. They will fatten and warm up your sound considerably and have plenty of headroom to spare. great clean tones and thick mean dirty tones.

I really like the Eminence Cannabis Rex in a clean blues/rock amp. It's got articulate, but not shrill highs and a very sweet mid range. Plays nicely with pedals of all sorts.

Those Celestions that are usually in modelling amps, don't remember it, 2 x 12" Celestion G12P-80

Ok, I looked up a couple reviews. Sounds like they're speakers that have a fairly flat response.

I guess I would try either a pair of Eminence Texas Heats as (suggested above), a Texas Heat & a Swamp Thang (this combo has served me well in one of my 4x12s, although they can sound very crisp together), Eminence Governors, or a pair of Celestion Creambacks (a beefier sounding version of the Greenback, similar to the Eminence Governor).
