Re: fender lead guitars

I had one for awhile, I sold it to a bud. They were Fenders reply to the new Kramer EVH guitars in the late 80's. They had 3 models, I, II, and III. They were discontinued because nobody really liked 'em, they looked cool and all, but they didnt have a huge customer response.

Re: fender lead guitars

I don't know - I remember seeing one in a music store when I was going in to buy my first guitar in '80

Re: fender lead guitars

They're collecters items, yes, but on the market, they dont hold what they should.

Re: fender lead guitars

Nice idea having the fast neck etc, but I'd also like to have a three pickup option. One set up like a Fat Strat would be a nice kind of gat.

Re: fender lead guitars

Yeah, only a small portion of the Leads were made in the US. JohnnyR, the Lead III is a three pickup guitar, so there ya go. JJ, I know what ya mean, I've got a 52 Gibson ES-125, and its only worth about 1,500.
