Fender Limited Edition Hot Rod Deluxe W/Vintage 30

Fender has come out with a Limited Edition Hot Rod Deluxe in Emerald Green with a Celestion Vintage 30 speaker. Has anyone heard this amp yet?

well i know for rock players, a v30 and different tubes is usually a standard upgrade

i think justin holton has some clips on his site of a hrdx with a v30

Personally, I just don't care for the HR Deluxe's gain structure, most folks that have them opt for some sort of Eminence speaker.

I've tried one, and the clean was astonishing for a HRDx. The overdrive tones were nothing to brag about, but you can always get an od pedal. I don't about the prices in US, but here it costs 1.5 times more than the standard HRDx, and you can therefore find a much better amp for the money.

V-32 Palomino......best bang for the buck amp. I preferred the V-32's tone over the Boogie F-30 I had.

Never heard it with the V30 but I have heard it with a Sheffield - not bad...
and have heard it with the Jensen 12" and I liked it for that classic, throaty tone.

Well, as the lim. edition line is pretty new, you won't find one used. Therefore, you can step up some price ranges (and quality) without paying more if you choose to look for a used amp.

If you for instance are charmed by the Fender tone, look for an old Fender...

I can also get a new one from Musicians Friend, and have 45 days to try it out, if it does not get the classic Fender Clean Tone, I will get a full refund.

It does get the classic Fender Clean Tone :fing2:

But IMO, there are other Fenders out there which does it better..

I heard one of these today, this is a great Fender Tube amp with the Classic Fender Clean, effects loop, ext speaker and great built in overdrive. that sounds a lot better than the stock HRD. I just placed my order with Musicians Friend.:smokin:

Sweet deal man, have fun with it. Those things also take to pedals really well. Try a Keeley baked TS9 on that bad boy, it'll blow your mind away...
