Hey guys. Another thread by me.
I'm looking for a practice amp, I have tried vox vt+40, fender mustang ii, roland 40xl (long time ago), and peavey vypyr (the non-tube one with 1x12).
They all sound good to me (digital modeler sure does improve much in recent years) although IMO the vypyr and vox vt have slightly better tube amp like response.
I really want to like the mustang ii, since it is the best looking out of the bunch. But I notice something about the clean tone.
They are really input sensitive, like when you pick lightly they go whisper quiet, when you strum hard there is big jump in volume. I feel it's a bit unnatural. I wonder if anyone else notice the same thing?
I hope some mustang users can share some tips on how to dial the amp.
