Fender Powercaster

Re: Fender Powercaster

looks like they forgot the "caster" part...should be a powerduo or a powermaster?????

Re: Fender Powercaster

I dig it. Personally, I'd love to see it with a vibrato though.

I'd like it with a Floyd. And in purple metallic. And a non-burned maple neck. Also not crazy about that switch location.

Which is to say, I don't think I like it.

1) The name is horrendous. Probably the brainchild of some irony-loving hipster.

2) A trem would be cool for sure.

3) The more I look at it, it seems like a full-scale Mustang.

Re: Fender Powercaster

I like that design a lot. Really would like to try one.

Only needs strat trem. And proper rosewood fretboard. That pau ferro looks ugly.

Re: Fender Powercaster

The body shape is great. The only thing I don't like is the pickguard. Looks like an afterthought.

Oh, and the name. Did anyone mention that yet?

Jesus, I actually had to read the specs before I could find a single thing they did RIGHT

Alder body, everything else as offputting as feasible

At least you broke from your norm and complained about something.

Re: Fender Powercaster

Really well designed pawn shop ax with the hardtail and good shape and pickups.

Re: Fender Powercaster

I dig that they found a good balance between having models everyone expects and coming up with something new, but still looks sort of classic. There are a few other companies that could benefit from that.

Re: Fender Powercaster

It reminds me of the G&L fallout.

Re: Fender Powercaster

Regardless of the name I think the guitar looks rad, sick & phat! To make it more phat I think a Dog-Ear P-90 pick up in the bridge position would be ultra suitable.;)
