Fender Pro Jr - Eminence Legend 1028K ?

I have an opportunity to get an Emi Legend alnico (35 watter) for cheap. How does it pair with the PJ? Or am I better off with a Weber 10A100, 10A125 or something else?

My goal is for lower efficiency / breakup at lower volume than the stock v1030. Looking mainly for late 60s tone: Zep, Yardbirds, Cream etc but also something passable for The Cars, Tom Petty etc

I have owned Both the Black and Blue Frames. I thought they were excellent speakers, and not (at the time anyway) very expensive.
They will be fine for your music styles, not sure about efficiency. I use to have the Thiele Parameters for the Black frame...maybe i still do...but if you shoot an email to Eminence, they will be happy to talk to you about SPL/Efficiency.
good luck

I roll with Weber Blue myself.

And honestly, that amp isn't going to break up at any decent sounding low volume IMO...

I'd use a dirt box in front like a TS9 with the level set low for that.

I use an Eminence Texas Heat and it sounds great. I use pedals for the dirt.
