what gives?
well, this is my second fender amp with reverb and both have this slight buzzing. i doubt it's a specific problem with this amp. i think it's a general fender thing.STRATDELUXER97 said:It should add a sense of space and maybe with some slight hiss, but the word "buzzy" sounds like you have a problem there?:smack:
so when you go from no reverb to reverb, without playing anything, you don't hear the buzz sound?kmcguitars said:1st off, Lets be a Lil' more specific. What Model amp is it? I've owned more than a dozen Fender reverb amps from BF/SF tube driven models to Red Knobs and a Hot Rod Deluxe where the verb is driven by Op-amps. The Verb in the Red knobs where kinda weak compaired to the rest , But I never heard any buzzing or annoying sounds from any of them? Accept for maybe having a bad driver tube.
yes, i think the pro reverb has a tube for the reverb. good tip.:banana:Gearjoneser said:A lot of amps with reverb introduce more hiss, the higher you set the reverb.
It's just the nature of a spring reverb being added into the circuit. However, most people set the reverb low enough that it's not even an issue.
The best thing to do is to use a high quality 12AT7 or AX7 for the reverb driver tube, if it's a tube driven spring reverb.
yeah, lets call it a hiss instead.:smack:STRATDELUXER97 said:I've been playing BF Fender amps for many years and I don't associate buzzing with the reverb circuit...At least not in my amps? Hiss yep, buzzing no?
