Fender Squier Pickguard

Does anyone know of a site that offers a full size drawing of a Fender Stratocaster Squier pickguard? I am converting from a SSS to a HSS and while the body is already routed for the humbucker the pickguard is not. Shops around me do not have any Squier pickguards in stock. If you do not know of a drawing do you know any tricks for cutting the pickguard to accommodate the humbucker?

The problem is that there have been so many manufacturing variations on the Squier Stratocaster that there is no single, definitive pickguard blueprint that would fit all specimens.

My approach to your problem would be to purchase an American HSS scratchplate. I would fill and redrill the necessary screw holes into the body to achieve a tidy fit. This is quicker and easier than cutting your original pickguard. Any mess will be concealed once the new 'guard is on.

Cutting a HB aperture into your stock pickguard involves marking out the centre line then marking out the outline of the new hole or positioning a routing template before making the incision.
