I pulled a set of pickups out of a new American Stratocaster a few years ago and I was thinking about putting them back in. Not sure about the wire coding.
These are each stamped 016730 and hand labeled S6205 (neck), S6206 (mid), S6207 (bridge) but have plastic covered wiring. they each have a white lead ... then all of them have a different color lead (red, blue, yellow).
It appears from the lengths that the colored leads are grounds.
Does this make sense? I bought this guitar new ... made in America standard ... maybe 5 years ago. Are these possible not Fender American pickups?
How can I find out which lead is ground?
