this is a strat i put together from parts i had. everything is genuine fender on it. the neck came from a trade i did awhile back and the body is a hiway 1 u.s. with all the original parts. the neck is from a mexi srtat and still has the original decal. i refinned it natural and did the graphics from the cover of penthouse(ala cantrell) then clear coated it. the neck has some player wear at the bottom side which can be seen in some photos. it doesnt affect the playability whatsoever. it has a rosewood board and plays as sweet as the slut looks on the body. it comes with a skb hardshell case which is also pictured. i am asking $350.00 O.B.O. or trade. shipping will be actual cost and by the provider of your choice.

oh yeah, i said all fender parts, the red moto gaurd i am not sure if it is fender. i got it from xssive a while back, so he could probablly tell you what brand it is. other than that everything is fender.

i want to say alder, but it may be ash. its whatever fender used on the u.s. made hwy 1 bodies. and yes, i should have mentioned it earlier. i can take the pic off and do another clear coat before shipping if thats what the buyer wants.

the guard is real deal fender! also, being that it's a highway 1 the body should be alder.

Well why wait to explain.

There was a deal setup.
I was going to trade for a used and beat up highway 1 strat with a MIM standard 1995 neck the serial number was MN5XXXXXX and two pedals (i am so so so stupid)

In return I was going to get a MIM mexican tele that has been made to look like a '52 Reissue Tele, I was also told it had upgraded electronics. To me it seemed pretty fair, I didnt want to have to shell out and the highway one was in bad shape.

I sent my stuff and waited and waited and nothing, then i heard rumors of getting ripped off and still nothing so I decided to see what was up.

I asked please send my stuff back and when I get the guitar you are sending me well I will send it back, I was told that guitar I had sent had been SOLD

To quote the PM:
"well, first of all, i put an american neck on the strat (the mexican neck on it was pretty much a peice of sh!t with the wear on the bottom side which was so deep it had scalloped into the fret board) and it has been sold."

So yes I am a little ticked off, I mean who wouldn't be.
I traded something, waited, waited asked hey man just send my stuff back and we will be even, was told mine was sold.

I then got what sure as heck looks like a Affinity Squire with some kind of who knows what neck on it (see link below). This guitar was CLEARLY not the one I was told I was going to get, I still have the originals of what I was supposed to get, not the pictures as they changed a few times.

I am upset that I was mis-lead in what I was getting, it is BLATENTLY obvious that what I got IS NOT a Mexican Tele, and I was mis-lead that what I had sent was sold and not available.

I have other stuff, this isnt all of it, but this is enuf.

SO WHAT GIVES?
I WOULD GUESS I AM RIGHT TO ASK FOR MY STUFF BACK ALLL OF IT CORRECT?????

Let me ask this, would any of you believe it if you see this on the very same board that the trade was done on and the same board that when you asked for your stuff back since it had been almost a month and you hadn't gotten what you traded for he pmed you and told you this:

i feel badly for you that you are unhappy with the turn of events .. in trying to understand things, it seems to me as though you traded for something and got what you were told you'd get (if i am misreading that, pleae correct me) ... once you sent off your guitar and got a guitar in trade, i think the deal was pretty much over ... now, were you lied to ? ... a strong circumstantial case seems to suggest "yes" ... does that stink? ... again, "yes" ... now, if you DIDNT get what you expected from the trade, then you have a separate gripe that might be legitimate on its own merits ...

but given the source, are you really surprised? ... you do not need to take on the role of protector of everyone who might do business with him again .. there is a 'bad trader' thread for that purpose .. anyone who deals with him has MORE than enough evidence across hundreds of posts in dozens of threads to make their own opinion and take their own chances

you arent getting your old guitar back from him, so i think you need to let it go

Yes I did get a guitar NO the guitar IS NOT what I was told I would get. So yes you did mis-read the thread.
The guitar I got is CLEARLY not a MIM Upgraded Gutiar. It is some type of a part o tele. After going to the guitar store yesterday I firmly believe the body to be a Affinity Squire, they have a black input jack plate with 4 bolts, they have the same bridge, excat same color and the same body.

I also belive this to be more than circumstantial evidence, it is pretty blatently obvious, even the case is the same.

Should I have just let this all go?
I will post this in the Bad Trader thread that is not a problem, but you seem to be somewhat blowing off something that is clearly a large sham.

The protector of everyone? Should everyone be treated like this?

Do you have it on good knowledge I am not getting the guitar back?
Has he told you so? If so that is good to know.

I just registered here to tell you all that everything that Aaron is saying is 100% true. Aaron has been going through this **** with this loser for almost a month. He was told all kinds of creative stories about why it took so long for this guy to send out the guitar in the first place. Meanwhile Aaron asks him to just send him his guitar back and forget the whole deal. As you can see from the part of the Instant Message Aaron posted about, he was told his guitar was SOLD, and now he has the balls to post it up for sale here? I guess there's a reason he's a 26 year old living with his parents.

So Aaron receives the guitar... I say guitar because it is NOT a Fender Telecaster. It's a fake, and this was confirmed by a Fender dealer. Aaron has all the emails and instant messages for all this to folks, this guy (sorry this COOCH) is a FRAUD.

Now he says he's willing to give Aaron back his money (maybe his parents sat him down and told him it was the right thing to do). But, as Aaron has stated, would YOU trust him after all this ****? I certainly would not. The way this guy is, Aaron would probably receive his refund in Canadian money (no offense to Canadians, as I'm one :13: ).

STAY AWAY from this guy. If this was my deal, I would have already wrapped his hair around his neck and choked off his air supply. He has taken Aaron for a ride, and Aaron is a very honest person, almost to a fault actually.

Maybe this guy should be a man, and take the :baby: out of his mouth and send Aaron back his money BEFORE Aaron sends that POS he called a Tele back to him. If his parents will give him a ride to the Post Office that is.

I can't stand watching friends get ripped off, and this guy has been playing Aaron for much to long. So I'm sorry if this post offends anyone else, but I'm sure many of you know how it feels to get screwed, and trust me, this guy has been screwing Aaron over this entire trade. I can't stand thieves!!! I'd would rip his arms off if it was me.

After re-reading this, why is this person still being allowed to do this stuff here? I am new here, I am to trusting, I made my own choices, but why if it is this known as it seems by your language above is this person allowed to continue to pull this?

what would i have done? ... i've never done business with him in the first place ... he is exactly what he portrays himself to be ... how anyone would choose to trust him with money or something else of value is beyond me ... it was a lapse in judgement that you can learn from ... some lessons are harder to learn than others ...

if you got ripped off, that is another thing entirely ... i see from your clarification that you seem to have it pretty straight up that you were ... again, it is a 'trader beware' deal ... i wouldnt hold my breath waiting for him to do the right thing ... he hasnt demonstrated the capacity to do that ... if he won't be a man and make this right, then you will be left to sell the guitar you got for whatever you can and try to move forward .. you got hosed .. and that is a shame ...

he has not talked to me about this and i doubt he ever would (we are not exactly buds) ... so i do not know if you are going to get it back or not ...

no, this shouldnt happen to anyone ... but it does happen when people make mistakes in who they decide to trust ... sad, but true ...

i'm sorry for your struggle ... i hope it doesnt happen to you any more .. and i hope that some miracle happens and he makes this right ...
