Fender Super Switch Wiring

Hi Guys!

Can’t get my head around this.
The wiring of the Fender Super Switch is probably easy fore the pros so I guess I’m not one of those :-)
Had this setup 10 years ago and now I can’t figure out how to solder this on my new piece.
I never use the tone knob so I convert that one to a volume pot for the pos 4.

The Seymour Duncan of choice;

Bridge; JB SH-4 HB
Middle: Alnico 2 Pro Staggered
Neck: JB Jr Strat Neck.

I want the setup to be:

Position;

1./ Full bridge HB
2:/ Split bridge HB
3./ Split bridge HB and middle pickup.
4./ Full Neck & Bridge HDs with separate volume for the neck pickup
5./ Full neck HB

Would be more than grateful if someone could help me out with this hassle.

Best

Re: Fender Super Switch Wiring

It would be easier for the neck to have its own volume control (positions 4&5), but I think it's still possible for it to be 4 only.

If no one gets you a schematic, I can maybe do a pinout on Monday or Tuesday.

Re: Fender Super Switch Wiring

We'll need to know if you want both volumes to be independent of one another and if you're willing to subject all 5 positions to the independent wiring scheme. You might want to check into how independent wiring differs from conventional wiring in terms of how this volume scheme behaves. In addition you need to think about how the tone control will behave. A super switch can only do so much. Your desire to put the neck pickup on a separate volume control may come at a price.

Re: Fender Super Switch Wiring

I think it is doable with a super switch if the neck volume pot is dedicated to the neck pup only. That way you don't even have to consider it...it just becomes part of the neck pup (electrically).

Re: Fender Super Switch Wiring

Definitely doable with a dedicated volume on the neck.

Whether to make the bridge/middle volume independent of the neck volume, whether to make the neck volume independent of the bridge/middle volume as well as where to put the tone control would still be up in the air.

I can't manage to make enough popular suggestions for me to find it worthwhile to start drawing up diagrams just for them to be rejected.
