Fender Tremolo - What have I got?

Hi,
I have bought this "Fender Original Bridge Vintage Strat" but I'm not so sure!

There are no Fender stamps and I cant seem to find an identical bridge on google images with the part number on the box.(0992049000) which is a valid Fender part number but it just doesn't look like mine!

Heres the ebay listing i bought it from:

Any suggestions?

Doesn't look real to me. But we will wait for others to chime in.

Re: Fender Tremolo - What have I got?

Description reads:

"This is a new fender tremolo bridge assembly vintage. Just recently bought but the screw holes wont fit in a squier. Modern saddles and the trem block is thinner from that of a squier. Made in USA."

That part of the description seems.. wrong.. and I'm skeptical of the price too.. tho I don't know what 20 pounds equals in US dollars..

Edit: looking at that flikr pic.. that is not a USA trem.. that looks exactly like the one I promptly took out of my MIM strat..

I think that guy was calling it vintage to refer to the six screw holes you used to mount to the body.

Yeah... Unless the P/N is stamped on the actual trem... I'd say he bought a new "real" USA trem, and then ditched the old MIM trem in the box of the USA one...

EDIT: I see he also included original strap buttons and jack plate... sounds like confirmation that he was upgrading an old one and pawned off the original parts...

Looks like the generic Made In SE Asia variety that came on MIK Squiers and the early MIM Fenders re-sold with the packaging for a MIA replacement part.

Under eBay rules, the item has been misdescribed. The vendor is either blissfully ignorant (in which case, a refund would be in order) or a crook.

Re: Fender Tremolo - What have I got?

This is a MIJ Fender trem. I have one, too.

Get a steel block for it and it's fine.
