I've had an Ultra Chorus sitting in the corner for a few years. I though once I bought my valve amps, I'd never need it again.
Now that I've messed up my Lumbar and cervical spine, I was forced to find a lighter alternative to these 70 Lb beasts that I
so dearly love.
I plugged in the old Ultra and much to my surprize rediscovered that all solid state amps are not lame. This must be one of the better ones.
Beautiful Fender clean tones. No surprize there. But the gain channel is far better than the Fizz I expected. I put a Tube Screamer on the lowest
setting possible n front and WOW! I don't think i could tell this was a SS amp if I were blindfolded. Even the clean tones remain clean but with SOUL!
I need some confirmation here. Does anyone else use on of these things. It's a Stereo Chourus amp with 65 Watts per Channel and two Fender 12" Speakers.
I don't know if the speakers are Jensen designed. The Chorus - not my favorite effect is lush. It has separate stereo and mono effect inputs.
The only problem I have with it is the first channel 1/4" input is a little loose and can cut out. I have to figure out how to get in there to tighten it up.
The nut on the front does nothing . The second channel is instrument grade but isn't as sensitive as the first channel. 1- > 1M ohm, 2 - 131K ohm.
So am I the real nut or is this amp for real?
