Fender's aged white covers

Re: Fender's aged white covers

Tricky. Some times, even different production runs from one manufacturer do not match.

I have accumulated a bunch of SD Antiquity Stratocaster pickup covers in assorted shades of faded greenish-greyish-yellow-khaki. I am yet to find any three that could honestly be claimed to be a matching set.

Reasonably close should be good enough. They're all trying to be the same thing, correct?

Re: Fender's aged white covers

Agreed. There is no rule that states that these parts "age" uniformly.

Here is a double cream Duncan 78 and fender aged white coexisting. To my eyes the bareknuckle cream looks lighter than the Duncan, at least in photos, I've never seen one in real life! image.jpg

Thanks for the pic. I'm hoping it is a bit lighter than that 78. Guess I'll just have to wait and see.
