Fernandes Guitars with Sustainers?

Anybody have any experience with a Sustainer loaded Fernandes? Several of my fav players use them, and I've been thinking about one for awhile, but haven't seen any around to try. A retro rocket for 550.00 bucks sounds easier than buying the 401 set and installing it in something else...Although I considered it with the John5 Squire.

I've played one unplugged (retrorocket elite). It's pretty nice but the frets are really sharp but it could probably be just that guitar. That's all I remember about it, sorry...
