Finally a board I'm happy with :D

Guitar > Compressor > Subdecay Stupid Box 2.0 > Subdecay Blackstar > Cark Martin Hot Drive and Boost > Seymour Duncan PowerGrid > Korg Pitchblack tuner > Digitech Bad Monkey > MI Audio Blues Pro > EH Big Muff (Russian) > Carl Martin Surf Trem > Amp

:D :D :D

ODs go in order of badassness:
Bad Monkey: thick boost, not much extra volume, tiny bit more gain
MI Audio Blues Pro: low gain OD
Stupid Box: Medium gain OD
Blackstar: High gain OD with fuzzy edge
Power Grid: Heavy Metal of dewwwwm
Big Muff: Chuck Norris

The HDB is acting mostly as a Buffer and clean boost. I SHOULD have placed it right at the end, with the BM up front (buffer in, buffer out) BUT
I'm really limited by the actual pedalboard (EH pedalbag) as to which pedals I put where :( Very annoying.
The Surf Trem is not buffered and isn't TB either... which means it may not be a wise idea to place it right at the end. But all my stuff is gone (moving out tonight) so I haven't been able to try it yet :laugh2: If that's the case, I'll have to think of a solution. But the HDB is a GREAT buffer and it's right in the middle of the chain, and then there's the Bad Monkey... I SHOULD be ok.

Just curious:

Is it bad to have a buffered pedal at the end of the chain?

and...

I thought pedals only came with either buffered bypass or true bypass, is that incorrect?

Re: Finally a board I'm happy with :D

It's good to have a buffered pedal at the end of the chain :)

The third option to go with buffered output and true bypass is where the input to the effects circuit is still connected to the signal path, essentially putting the effect's input impedance in parallel with the bypass signal. That's what sucks tone :(

Where does the Stinky Cheese flatulator fit into this chain?

Yep. That's what the Surf Trem has. I MAY make it TB but it'd be a bit of a hassle and it may not even be an issue yet. We'll see.
Basically I think it may be an issue as now I'm buffered correctly through the CM and Bad Monkey, but it'd get slightly messed up by putting a tone sucker right at the END of the chain, where I'd potentially see the biggest loss because of the amp's input impedance and the added cable capacitance/resistance due to the length.

Will try the rig today I think, I JUST moved into the new flat!!

No stinky cheese flatulator, made the board smell bad :laugh2:

If your rig sounds good, it sounds good. Honestly, it's a lot more hassle worrying about it than not :laugh2: I'm just being picky and annoying. Until I plug in I can only speculate, and I know that even when I do get plugged in, it won't be that huge a deal.

The big money pedals I got for very good deals all :D The Subdecay I got for 60 pounds :D Most I ever spent on a pedal is basically the price of a Boss BD2 hehehehe

Mine's got volume at 11oclock, gain at 9:30oclock, treble at 2oclock and bass at 2oclock.
