For last few years I've dealt with my valvetronix Tonelab se pedal board which I managed to get pretty decent sounds when I use it through my Airline 6v6 based 1x12 combo.

Loved the Tonelab for a not-too-expensive digital pedal board but its buttons are starting to erraticly trigger.

So ... had to sell a Playstation but I assembled the pedal board shown...centered around the Blakstar HT-DRIVE.
HT-DRIVE is pretty good as a a main distortion (I love the fact it has normal and speaker emulated outs as sometimes I do need to play through the system) but it sounds naturally scooped. Instead of getting an eq I decided to use the place on my board for a tuner and get an EMG SPC (basicly a mid range boost) knob for my guitar. Also got an afterburner (clean boost) for more flexibility. (I think I prefer PRE-distortion voicing anyhow.

I had to go to 1 volume knob (the only 1 that doesn't clip out when touched...crappy stock pots). I simply placed the new emg components where the old volume and tone knobs were.

...All this to find that I did not have enough cavity room in my guitar for a battery!!

Soooooo... time to get creative. EMG's use stereo jacks...I simply tied the +9v to the extra lead. Had to assemble a breakout cable for it. (Now one tip goes to my powered board and other to pedal input jack) I think I'm happy with it this way. I would have had to remove bridge and strings to change a battery anyway...I think the loss of ability to use a normal guitar cable is well worth this.

EMG does include nice connectors but they don't give you much to work with if you have to cut it and connect to a normal pot...also the output cables BARELY were long enough to go from the main cavity to the output jack...I had to extend one of the leads just to make it work.

Guitar is just an epiphone..got it used and was already loaded with Full-Shred Bridge.
SD-1 used on minimum gain and max volume just for tighter sound on some rhythms
bd-2 to push for thick leads.
Option for stereo chorus or mono chorus with ping pong delay. For whatever reason..stereo guitar is like a drug for me.

Have had the pedal board for a while yet but I just finished the guitar tonight...Haven't been able to play it on a real amp yet...soon.
