Finally installed Seth's in my Dot.

First of all I have to say thank you for all of you that helped me make up my mind about which pickups to get. I have only had the Seth's installed for about 24 hours, but I have to say I am impressed. I now know what you guys meant about the midrange. These pickups can really scream, but turn the volume back to 7-8 and they are just beautiful. I think they are the perfect pickups for this guitar. Now I can actually take this guitar to a gig and get all the sounds I want just by playing with the volume and tone pots. So thanks again to everybody who helped me make this decision.

Nothing like a great success story. Seths and a hollowbody sounds like a recipe man.
How would you compare them with the pickups you replaced? Were they stock Epiphone pickups?

Oh, I bet that is sweet. I still love the Seth Lovers more than about any other set I own. I have mine in a 22 Fret PRS. Its just magic.

I've got a few sets, one of which is in a Dot. To me they stand out as Duncan's best-sounding PAF, and unfortunately there's a lot of PAF fans here that haven't owned them yet.

Diego. In response to your question. I originally had stock Epi pickups which only sounded fair. The neck was ok, but the bridge was barely useable. I then replaced the episode with emg 89's. The EMG's we lousy on single coil mode and the hum bucking mode was nice for woman tome but not much else. It was a big investment for little payoff. Oddly I have the same pickups in a strat and they sound great so go figure. I agree with you you blueman. Seth's are so good, they might be the last stop for a lot of people if they would just give them a try. I almost installed a JB/Jazz set in the epi but I am glad I sprung the extra cash for the Seth's.

This is exactly what I have in my Dot. They are fantastic pickups, eventually I may need to get another set.
