Most of the regulars hear will probably recall me posting some pictures of a "Wide Range Style" pickup that I was working on. They ARE NOT "Wide Range Humbuckers," they just look like them. They're a hum-bucking split coil pickup that uses adjustable A5 rods and a humbucker layout. There are only 6 magnets as well. Here is what they look like:

Anyway, I made some simple clean channel clips. No fancy playing. No EQ or any adjustments different for any of the clips, same amp, same amp settings, ect. I went with the original mic position and no adjustments were made for varied guitar/pickup volumes or EQs. The idea wasn't to make it pickup sound the most polished, but to give an idea what these pickups sound like compared to something other more familiar sounds. The guitars, set up, string life, all vary, so I'll post which pickups are in which guitars. I included a Steve's special just as a reference on how close these pickups sound compared to low output single coils as they do to a fairly hot humbucker.
Guitar 1: Alder Telecaster HH with Ebony fretboard and two different Full Range Humbuckers installed in the bridge and neck.
Full Range Bridge:
Full Range Neck:
Guitar 2: Korina Telecaster SS With Rosewood Fretboard. The neck pickup is one I wound more like a strat with 6.1K and 2.4H using 42 AWG and taller magnets. Like a slightly hotter "Twisted Tele."
Custom Tele Neck:
Guitar 3: Alder Strat with a Rosewood fretboard. Strat pickup wound to 6.0K in the neck and a Dimarzio Steve's Special installed in the bridge.
Strat Neck:
Steve's Special Bridge:
