hey again guys.....well last practice my band was jammin to some kinda edgy rockabilly type of stuff i made up.......and we recorded a minute or 2 of it

this recording here is only me and my drummer, no bass........ and again we used an old vintage boombox for recording.....

i must also add that this is total improv so me and my drummer are a bit confused on parts (thus timing is wrong) ......but what im really lookin to see is if you guys think this type of "psychobilly" music is interesting ? i find it fun as hell to play and i think its so differnt sounding that people might like it?:

tell me what ya think, i particularly love the drumming around 1 minute, its got a lot of drive...

Yes i have to say thats quiet interesting, it'll have plenty of rockability when you add bass to it..

Yea its got a pretty cool vibe to it all. The drummer is a bit loud but I quite like it.

Nice one

Re: Find this psychobilly interesting???

hey thanks guys.....its obvious the mix isnt right, but we just set the boombox in the corner of the room and pressed record..... so drums are a bit loud and cymbals somtimes harsh.... but its gets the idea across anyways....

Man, this is some of the best stuff I've heard on this site. Alot of people get wrapped up with setting everything perfectly, re-recording until it sounds like a professional CD with no hints of mistakes, your stuff just sounds so real.

yeah, i totally agree with you man......we like our stuff to sound right, but were certainly not perfectionists....i think having the perfect sound quality can sometimes kill the vibe of the music, sometimes the rough stuff just sounds right......i mean you listen to old stones and beatles recordings, and they dont sound perfect, thats what i love about it, they just have that vintage feel, specially listenin to them on real records, you get the feeling that your almost in the studio with em, with all the real room ambience and noises that most bands edit out....
