Wonderful sounding!!! I love this amp! The only finish flaw would be that damn grill cloth... as you can see on the picture, top right corner... no comment.

Specs are :

- Hoffman AB763 board
- WeberVST transformers
- Celestion G12H30 speaker
- Accutronics long reverb tank
- JJ 6L6GC
- Rectifier : UOS RCA 5U4GB or Weber CopperCap
- Preamp tubes : mix of JJ, EHx, and UOS RCA 12AU7 for reverb

Will post soundclips soon!

Re: Finished my BFDR project!! Finally!

Cool! Where'd you get the parts for everything? Weber? I'll bet that G12H30 sounds good...it always does!

(I'd redo the grill cloth someday! :smack: I've had that happen to me too.

These days I fold the grill cloth on the top and one side very crisply and that helps me keep everything lined up and straight.)

Nice job all in all! I'll bet it sounds great! Lew

Re: Finished my BFDR project!! Finally!

o0o you built that? Looks nice :D I want to build something someday...! Congrats~!

Re: Finished my BFDR project!! Finally!

Yeah, I got most parts from Weber. Good prices and quality and service.

I still have room for a Middle control and 2 Bright switches, I might add those switches someday. I also plan to swap the OT for a ~40w. I need clean power. And even if the G12H30 sounds great in there, I might go for a cleaner speaker.

If you decide to sell the G12H30 and if it's a UK made one, I'll buy it from you!

Cool....I need one more for my Marshall bottem. Then I'll have all four G12H-30's in it.

Thames - thats gorgeous! Certainly deserves a bump to the front of the class. :laugh2:

Nice, simple, clean design. And if you hadn't mentioned it . . . no one would have noticed the corner. ;)

Nice work.

You know you could always put reverb on both channels, and change the normal channels bright switch to a deep switch (ala Bassman),maybe revoice that channel ... just a thought. Great job, love the pilot light colour!
