Firebird VII Pickups?

A friend came to me to rewire his Firebird VII with a 3-band active EQ, master volume, 5-way blade scheme. After we got the thing put back together he thought it would be worth it to replace the pickups.

He would prefer Firebird pickups instead of mini humbuckers because he thinks mini humbuckers sound like wimpy humbuckers, but Firebird pickups sound more like a beefy Tele.

What are some popular FB VII sets? And while we are on the subject, how did they come up with the Firebird number sequence skipping evens?

The bass guitars are the even Firebird numbers.

I’m using Duncan Antiquities in mine. Sounds like a million dollar record. I won’t put anything else in that guitar. It finally sounds like it should.

Thank you. One thing I was wondering though, what's the difference between the FB Ant. I and Ant. II set, and which do you prefer?
