Haha, thanks! I know it is way too cluttered and is miles away from what the finished product will be. In fact, I did a remix last night and pulled out all the keyboards and rhythm guitar just to let it breathe.

If I remember right the rhythm guitar chain was MIM Strat w/59 Bridge > Pharaoh Fuzz > OCD > Supa-Trem > Peavey Prowler mic'd. I intentially grunged it to the max.

The lead guitar chain was MIM Strat w/59 Bridge > (both side of a) KOT > OCD > Strymon El Capistan > Peavey Prowler mic'd.

Re: First Attempt -

I just remembered which version I put up on Souncloud. It was late at night when I did the lead track. It was some combination of chains in POD Farm. One the lead track I recorded earlier and didn't post I used the KOT, OCD, and Strymon. The tone was definitely brighter sounding and more defined.

Re: First Attempt -

^^ There wasn't enough echo on my lead guitar track, so I decided to add some to the second verse of Post #3 in this thread.

^^ you'd need to dig out the original thread, but I'm pretty sure the drum software he's using comes with a fairly comprehensive set of samples to use with it.

Oh. I use garage band but their are only so many drum loops and I don't think you can make your own beats in it?

Re: First Attempt -

I hstill haven't learned to modify the loop after installing it. The real issue may be that I haven't learned the proper method for looping in Reaper. The problem I experienced as a result of apparently doing it wrong is that and drum or cymbal beat I changed automatically in every measure in the loop.

I just need a little more time to study it and watch YouTube videos to learn the correct method. To be honest. I'd much rather lay the drum track down in multiple takes using my keyboard as a drum contoller, and then adjust the position of some of the hits as required to correct bad timing. A straight loop with no variations in accents etc. is just stiff and unmusical sounding.
