First Impressions of Cakewalk SONAR 6

Re: First Impressions of Cakewalk SONAR 6

And yes, you can add plug-ins and make changes to a frozen track ... Make sense?

Have yet to try adding additional plugins to a frozen track, but sounds good.

It sounds to me like Sonar treats freezing like printing to track, albeit on the same track.

That said, it still isn't going to allow you to combine multiple tracks into one track.

You can bounce selected tracks to one track if you like. Drums for instance.

Boy, there's a lot to learn here. Great info. This is going to be fun.

Making mountains out of molehills here, but a bus still isn't a track... You could group all of them in a folder (I don't know if Sonar has the folder thing - drop a few tracks in a track 'folder' and edit it like it's one track), but if they're just in a bus, you still have to edit each track seperately, or highlight them all.

What I'm specifically talking about is having multiple mic's for one guitar tone. Even if you've only got two mics, that could be something like 12 tracks just for rhythm guitars (DI, two mics). Editting all that can be a pain, and if you get the levels balanced right, you can just print both to a single track, and edit away.

I always like to work with as few tracks as possible - probably a horses for courses thing.
