Re: First new stuff in a while...
It's all a bit disjointed, needs tightened up a lot, but I gotta say, I really like your tone. What rig you using there?
1. I expected that, it's kind of a germ of a song, once I coax my bass playing friend to become an official member of my band we can jam it out and work out the kinks(no pun intended), and use actual drums and bass guitar for the rhythm track. =]
2. hehe, your gonna love this.
For rhythm guitar I'm using my epi lp studio, set to the neck pickup, with the tone knob rolled down a bit, into amplitube Jimi Hendrix, using the fender twin 'verb model.
For lead I used the same guitar, set to the bridge pup(SD C5), into the fender dual showman from AJH, both are set up with a healthy dose of compression at the end of the chain. Another thing that affected the tone quite a bit was that I used my thumb and fingers instead of a pick.
I like that slinky feel. It kind of sounded like the backing track was in 4/4 and you were playing 3/4, maybe try to find a 3/4 backing track.
A couple of bits sounded somewhat timid...maybe you could find all the good notes before hand and play them with more confidence.
The trip to the fast beat and back was fun.
Nice work...couple of parts ironed out a bit more and you'll have a really nice track.
Thanks! I was wondering how others would take to the sudden double speed solo.
I like it. The chords and lead guiter would have flowed better if the drums and bass guitar had been tighter. I like the changes in feel ...... it was like turning pages in a song book!
Thank you, I'll definitely make that a focus once my band gets to rehearsing.
