First recording - thank yo all for showing me how

Didn't care much about music until a few years ago someonr introduced me to some ancient Yardbirds music then Robert Johnson and Blind Blake...
Got a guitar and did my best to play along.
First recording sat down and just sorta played stuff along where my memory took me back to that good old music.
Sorry it's not too good but I need more guitar learning and figure out more about recording.
Any tips would be welcome.

The quality of the recording isn't bad, although we would have to hear how the guitar sounds sit in a band in order to tell you how good it sounds. As far as your playing, you've got a really nice blues feel. The guitar tone isn't my favorite, just because it seems like there was way too much modulation overall. I like chorus/ phaser/ and flanger, but I don't want them on all the time either. Not a bad attempt at your first recording man.

Thank you. I put the modulation in there to make i sound sorta like a memory or a dreamy kinda thing guess that was a mistake. I will work on a different tone and think about what I'd like to try and record next or maybe I'll just sit down and do another memory set with a staight tone. Should have a microphone in a week or so then I can try getting sometyhing directly out of the amp. Thanks again for the tip.

Well, this is miles beyond the first recording I made when I was 12 recording into a cassette boombox! :)
Some nice motifs here, would like to hear an actual song when you are there.

Keep it up!

My recordings still sound like they're recorded into a cassette boombox :lmao:

The recording quality's pretty good I'd say, nice playing too :bigthumb:

Sounds good! I still remember my first recording: I plugged a boss distortion pedal into a normal soundcard input with a 1/4-1/8 converter plug think that was all I needed and it sounded like a muffled yet angry swarm of bees. Knowledge is power!

How many years have you been playing? This can't possibly be the work of someone who's only played for "just a few years"!

Only tip I have for you is keep up the excellent work!

Another useful thing to record yourself practice without the effects on. You'll get to hear exactly how you're playing everything and be able to easily pinpoint what to improve on! This was huge for me, hope it helps you too!

My first recording was singing along to an Alice In Chains song through a guitar hero microphone. I'm glad that PC didn't last too much longer.
