And it turned out to be better than I expected....An acquiantance I am doing small guitar related challenges with had been breaking my balls over tapping, so I gave in and tried to do something with it over a simple riff he created.
The lead part is NOT one take.... I suck so bad at tapping that after writing the part yesterday morning, I had to start practicing from 60 BPM (the riff is 105), by 1 a.m. today the blister on my tapping finger was about to burst and was throbbing with pain, so I cut it from 3 half decent takes.
And I think that the mix is lightyears beter than anything I previously posted. Still closer to a demo than a record, but hey, small steps... Lemme know what you think!
P.S.: Almost forgot: the bass is a cheapo Ibby Soundgear SR305. Gave around 270 USD for it with a gigbag included. And I gotta say I haven't found a single thing wrong with it, espacially for that kinda money.
