First time installing single-coil sized humbucker... Questions...

Hey all - I've got a Lil 59 incoming today and looking forward to putting it in the bridge of my 62 Hot Rod Strat.

I'm new to this. I've installed a few pickups before but all with very basic wiring. I'd like to do the "auto-split" wiring with the '59 and want to make sure I know what to expect.

1. When talking "auto-split," Pos1 will be the full humbucker while Pos2 will be middle + one coil of the humbucker, right? Current middle pickup is a Lollar Blonde. Any issues there?

2. Will the bottom tone control still effect both bridge and middle pickups? It's currently wired that way with two singles.

3. Any other considerations?

I am not sure if modern SD pickups and Lollars are out of phase with each other. If you get a very thin, hollow tone when the bridge and middle are selected, you'd have to swap the green and black wires of the Little 59. The tone control should work the same if all you are doing is swapping the pickup.
