Never tried the Fishman, but I did a lot of research when I was putting together my Strat project, and the general consensus is that the LR Baggs and Graphtech systems are much better than the Fishman. I have a Baggs X-Bridge on my Strat, it gets a very convincing acoustic tone when it's run through a PA system or an acoustic amp.

Wait 'till you hear one of these through D-TAR's Mama Bear. It's mind-blowing. Imagine, not only does your Les Paul sound like an acoustic, but with the twist of a dial, it can sound like a parlor, a dreadnought, an orchestra model, a super jumbo, or -- and this is really trippy -- a gypsy jazz guitar or a resonator.
It'll be available in early-April.

Evan, It Sounds like a great piece of gear!!! I am gassing for one in my next project now!!! Can you possibly let know a ball park price for them?

I can vouch that the Graphtech Ghost system is easy to install and sounds pretty convincing.
However, I'm having an issue with my electric sound. I don't know if it's the saddles, the way the preamp handles the electric signal, or something else I might have done (I also changed pots as the volume pot I grabbed was a reverse audio taper). Either way, the guitar has lost some of it's twang and something slightly harsh has been added to the tone.
So, right now, I'm a little disapointed. Having said that, I'm going to switch components out piece-by-piece to try to figure out what's affecting the electric tone (replacing graphtech saddles with orignal metal saddles, bypassing the graphtech ghost preamp, etc.).
My bridge is an ABM Wilkinson-style hardtail:

check out RMC pickups- better sounding than the Fishman, the Graphtech and the Baggs... www.rmcpickup.com
I tried them all, (a lot of others have as well) and honestly, it sounds great. As a bonus (like the Graphtech) it is easy to convert as a hex pickup for midi guitar.
Why doesn't Duncan make a good piezo hex pickup????

i have used a fishman powerbridge on a les paul, specifically the new Slash model. I like it. I have looked at retrofitting one on a les paul, and i am not sure I would want to do that on a USA model. there is a wire on the fishman bridge that either needs to be run into the bridge pup cavity (under the pup mount ring), or a little hole needs to be drilled into the top under the bridge.
Next, some of the electronics need to be changed and this is where I would anticipate problems on a newer USA Les Paul. One of the tone pots needs to be changed (problem with the metal plate that holds the pot), or a mini switch needs to be installed, which requires drilling through the top.
When I played the slash guitar, I really liked it. I especially liked mixing the piezo sound and the magnet sound and using the combined tone for a "dirty slide" tone. Kind of a modern electric dobro sound. That wasn't even using a acoustic amp. I used a regular mono cable, and a JCM 2000. I think the setup would be fun, and open a new door in available tones at your fingertips. I was considering buying a Orville LP and trying one out.

i've used the graphtech ghost system a bunch of times for my custom guitar builds and my customers seem to like em
it won't turn your LP into a taylor or martin
but its great to do one or 2 acoustic songs or blend acoustic and magnetic tones for jazz
both FATTY and another (less active) forum member have them in their guitars
