I did it by drilling holes in my pickguard plus the wiring. It was pretty fun.

I did it with a Fastrack II and a virtual vintage 2.1. I also have done it with lace sensors. All you need to to is drill two sets of mounting holes and if the pickups have lips they will need to be mounted back to back. With an on/on/on toggle you can do either coil or both.
