I love the wah sound but I really hate the rocking-style wah foot pedals. Is there a stompbox that can do a fixed wah sound. I just want to use it as a filter.
Thanks!

Lewguitar said:The other thing you could do take the pot out of it's normal place in a stock Vox Wah and just turn it by hand until you get the effect you want. Then just tape it up and put it back in the wah wah somewhere where it won't be disturbed.
Then you'd just use the treadle part to turn the wah on and off.

) Also, I know you were asking about pedals, but doesn't Chandler still market the *Tone-X* which is basically a wah circuit attached to a push/pull tone knob that fits in the guitar, pull the knob and rotate the knob just like your foot, or leave it and switch it in or out. It's basically made for what you say here. A Furman PQ-3 or PQ-4 Parametric Eq (or any full function parametric eq can get you that effect also), but that's if you were going rack. Also the old BOSS FT-2 Dynamic Filter ( can you say ebay? ) would do that, as well as the other stuff it did. Just some ideas.
