Fluence Reactive Tone?

This looks suspiciously like Fishman's take on Bill Lawrence's Q-Filter. It's a 2-wire passive device called "reactive", which suggests that it's just a coil. And they're close to the same price. Nothing wrong with that, but curious if anyone has tried one.

$30 for the Fluence, and $35 for the Q-Filter.

It looks like the Fluence is tuned for active pickups, while the Q-Filter is designed for passive pickups.

I have been able to use inductors of the same value as the Q-filter in my pedals without issue. Going from passive to active the pot values change but not the inductor/capacitor value.

What is the value of the Q-filter? I would imagine a generic inductor would be somewhat cheaper than $35.

I have a vague memory of reading somewhere that it was around 1 Henry.

1.5 H if I remember correctly. I got a bunch of them when I scrapped a Hammond organ.

For those who used the Q-Filter how would you describe it? I had tried one with a set of Wilde L-280's and 495's (which they stopped making). I remember wiring it to the suggested values and thinking the effect was more subtle than I expected.
