Flying off the rails..

Phantasmagoria

watch where you point that sabre
Revisited the "Epic hard rock/metal" jam that I had up on youtube last year (since re-done even more Epically for Vimeo ) lol
This one's me playing over a similar backing track/progression.. (minus the killer slideshow)

Tone could be better..my strings were nasty/rusty as hell & my fingertips looked like I'd mashed them up against a cheese grater when I was done :lmao:

Re: Flying off the rails..

Well, that was certainly epic! I love your callous disregard for the 32 bar guitar solo. :)

Re: Flying off the rails..

Thanks!

My 'standard' is ..keep going till I bore the hell out of myself (usually 10-15 mins) ;)

When I first started working this style out I realized that the less I thought about stuff..the more (hand/ear co-ordination) actually happened. So I just try to switch off and let blind instinct take over lol..that pretty much maximizes the flow..

I'm just getting more crusty...

I certainly don't.

..different strokes man ;) Twilight's into prog rock..have you heard the new Neal Morse? ..it closes with a sweet little 27 min (long) tune :lmao:

More like 45sec-2min.

Again, that's just me I was talking about (I think 10-15 mins of nut-numbing shred is fun-filled & frolicsome :lmao:) ..after that I start losing interest. If I got bored playing after 2 mins..then that's when I'd stop :D

I WILL say the sound is improving with every video

Ya.. definitely getting better...Cheers :)

Re: Flying off the rails..

My gosh, that's a lot of solo, haha. I like how certain squeals will jump out and say "hi there, check me out"

Re: Flying off the rails..

..thanks man!

yeah, they do seem to haha....guess that's what makes them fit in so well with the rest of the solo ;)
