Re: Fo' Sale

Agreed, but to him, anything with a trem, two horns and longer scale than 24.75" is a strat. :laugh2:
J/K Bro. :fingersx: :D

pretty much..tho it doesn't have to have a trem...Jake played strats :D

They just feel so alien to me...I love the bolt on's natural "punch"...I like the scale lengths clarity...and the "space" it gives you for fretting...but the body style..bridge...it's just a total short circuit....I feel like I'm learing how to play left handed or something.... Maybe Xssive can build me a bolt on explorer with a TOM :bigthumb:

And no comments from the peanut gallery Mr. Surgeon :laugh2:

Ok, you got me there. Robert Cray is another.

A 25.5" scale, bolt-on maple neck, mahogany explorer style body guitar would kick ass. :bigthumb:

Re: Fo' Sale

Dang, Jeff! You go through gear like...well..like JeffB goes through gear. One these days I'm going to start buying all your guitars. $375 is a great deal for that Dean.

Re: Fo' Sale

I just traded even-steven some of my crap around here that wouldn't sell for the Ibby...just figured as well have something I *may* like instead of just things sitting around collecting dust. Its a nice axe...real nice for the price...but I just have to reserve myself to the fact that strats don't work for me.

I'm really wanting a different amp, and I'm putting new pups in the Hamer, so the Dean goes to help fund that stuff.

I can kick myself over selling one thing this year...The Destroyer...the rest of it...I could take or leave really.

Re: Fo' Sale

Yeah that Destroyer was just about the best guitar this year. I've been looking on eBay every week or so for one in that finish to pop up. What finish was that, btw? Name-wise, I mean?

Yeah..that was such a cool piece with alot of "mojo" or "vibe"..that thing dripped tone. But I got laid off from work...and  I miss that one. I don't even miss my R8 or Hamer Standard like I miss that Destroyer.

I believe Ibby just called it Vintage Sunburst or Cherry Sunburst...can't recall exactly. But that was the only color the DT400s came in. The DT155/55 were the black 3 pup models, and the Fire Red ones were the bolt on neck alder bodied DT50s.

All I know is it was the prettiest "cherry" sunburst I've ever seen...it wasn't like your typical Cherry sunburst...the darkest spots were more like a black cherry...or plum color...not red...I'd LOVE to have the color on..well anything really.
