Just got a beautiful graphic ESP George Lynch Serpent, here we go.
Body : Ash
Neck : Hard Maple
Finger Board : Rosewood‚ 22Frets
Scale : 648mm(Long)
Nut : Lock Nut
Neck Joint : Bolt-on
Bridge : Floyd Rose
Pickup (Front) : ESP SH-100
(Rear) : Seymour Duncan TB-12
Controls : Master Volume

:smack:
The problem is I do not like the sound of this axe, the distortion of TB-12 sounds fuzzy with my MESA amps, and too bright, glassy crispy. I am looking for a very warm, thick distortion(for sure with nice clean tone) and a good definition even when chording with heavy distortion. I am very into Symphony X, Dream Theater, Death, Megadeth, Slayer and those metal boys.

Best Regards!

A Dimarzio Steves Special or a Ducan Custom might do what your after. Open and clear sounding pickups under lots of gain.

Heavy, thick, distortion and clarity?

I'd go with a Custom Custom or one of the humbuckers from the Parallel Axis lineup. :burnout:

Re: for my ASH body guitar, help please :~(

i have an Ash strat, i have a full shred in there, and i couldent love it more, i have the same problems with dimarzio evolutions sounding too bright and the full shred sorted that, its just... perfect

The Custom has great definition, yet it has a thick tone without piercing highs.

If you're going for a lower output pickup, a Seth or a custom shop EVH/78 might do the trick.

Do you think any DiMarzio pups perform the same character as the CC?
